Ten years have passed since Karen’s ordeal. Now her life is full, but working with those struggling with drug addictions proves challenging.

Gemma, fighting her own addiction to heroin, is trying hard to pay back her debt to society. Volunteering in a charity shop leads her into a difficult situation when she forms an unlikely alliance with Kevin, another of the volunteers. When she comes across her ex-boyfriend, drug-dealer Billy, things get even more dangerous.

Filled with suspense: is there a body in the cellar, or is it only in Kevin’s over-developed imagination? Or perhaps just in Billy’s psychotic paranoid mind?

Payback is my second novel which can be read as a stand-alone story as well as a sequel to my first novel, Caught in the Web.
